A view prior to Fetoscopic Nd: YAG laser coagulation of chorionic plate vessels.
Fetoscopic view of a stuck twin, with the umbilical cord tightly wound around the lower limbs, and covered by the amniotic membrane. This is a manifestation of the condition.
Fetoscopic view of a stuck twin, the amniotic membrane can be seen, tightly folded over the fetal head and shoulder, as a manifestation of oligohydramnios.
Fetoscopic view of the mouth and nose of a recipient at the time of laser coagulation for TTS.
View of the placenta after delivery near term. White and blue dye have been injected in the two umbilical cords. Anastomosing vessels, crossing the membrane, can be seen, but after coagulation no slumbering of the two dying solutions could be observed.
